FM SYSTEMS, INC. ANNOUNCES THE V-24 STAND ALONE VIDEO A/B SWITCH

The VS-24 VIDEO A/B SWITCH is a 24 Volt operated 2X1 video switch. It is controlled by 24 Volt DC power connected to the two screw terminals on the unit. The power input is internally diode protected against reverse polarity. This video A/B switch has two video inputs and one output. The unit has three BNC (female) connectors for the two video inputs and one for the selected output. The video is switched using isolated relay technology so that all forms of video can be controlled with this switch.

The unit can be used to engage a hot standby source or to switch up a test pattern when main video fails. It can also be used where remote video switching must occur.

On mobile vehicles this unit can be used to switch from front camera to rear camera by powering the switch with the backup tail light 24 Volt DC power.

Standard BNC connectors are used for the video inputs and output, and a screw terminal connector is used for the DC power.

This switcher is housed in a sturdy ABS plastic enclosure that is completely insulated. The unit can be mounted in the rear of your rack with the standard mounting bracket. Direct contact with water should be avoided because the BNC connectors are not water-proof. It is recommended that you mount the unit indoors out of harsh environments or arrange for water insulation of the BNC connectors and the unit.
