BTSC DECODER FOR DIGITAL TRANSMISSION OF TV STEREO
The latest product by FM SYSTEMS, INC., the FMR534S BTSC Stereo Decoder, converts stereo TV sound at 4.5 MHz to Left and Right audio channels so that digital transmission systems can transmit BTSC stereo encoded sound. The FMR534S demodulates the 4.5MHz subcarrier, then decodes the BTSC signal into professional grade 15KHz Left and Right channels.
SAP signalsmay also be decoded using the FMR532SAP card.
Up to three BTSC Stereo Decoders may be installed in one PMS500 Mainframe occupying one Rack Space (1.75″). Or two Left, Right, and SAP channels will also fit in one mainframe. Frequency response, signal-to-noise ratio, and stereo separation all exceed professional broadcast specifications, so decoding BTSC stereo and then re-encoding after digital transmission will not degrade stereo programs.
